2008 P4C EVENTS
Bear Creek Lake Park

Thank-you all 250 volunteers for coming out to Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood on Saturday, July 12, 2008.  We had perfect weather and a perfect day for our Pulling For Colorado premier event.
VOC handled the registration and organized the crew leaders.
Over 250 people participated.
Julie and Ben helped make all the fun happen.

Tom McClure, USFS Invasive Species Coordinator pulled everyone together.

The kids area had lots of fun activities. 
Erik Nielson, City of Lakewood, and crew made all the logistics come together.
Margaret Paget, City of Wheat Ridge chaired the event.  Elizabeth Brown, CO Aquatic Nusiance Species Coordinator was part of the Steering Committee.

NREL provided solar power for our MC and the band

Vegetation Management brought out their Mule 
Foothills Vegetation Mgmt. and the City of Lakewood also brought out equipment showing other management techniques
"Spread the Word Not the Weeds" was our final message
 
92 bags of noxious weeds were collected!  WOW!!!
Thanks for helping to make our first Pulling For Colorado campaign so successful!!
